Trowbridge Young Talent Market 2016

Trowbridge Young Talent Market 2016

Saturday 15th October

Fore Street, Trowbridge

11.00 am – 3.00 pm

The Trowbridge Young Talent Market is an amazing opportunity for all young, budding entrepreneurs and performers to promote and showcase their creative products and talents.

The day is a celebration of young people’s creativity and entrepreneurship. Fore Street, in the heart of Trowbridge’s busy town centre, will be given over to young traders and there will be a performance stage outside Town Hall Arts, featuring the musical and performance talents of local young people.

Building on the success of the Trowbridge Young Talent Market 2015, organisers Trowbridge Town Team, GoFish and Town Hall Arts are urging young people to get in touch now, to ensure they don’t miss this fantastic opportunity.

David Baker, who leads the GoFish initiative on behalf of Trowbridge Chamber of Commerce said “The Trowbridge Young Talent Market is a very special opportunity for young people to test their skills, talents and products in a safe and supportive environment. We champion young people, they are our future, and we want to everything we can to support them in to the world of work”.

Young people are invited to register their interest whether they are performing artists – for example in dance, music, circus skills, poetry – or a maker of anything they’d like to sell, promote or simply see if there’s a market for! The Trowbridge Young Talent Market is open to all, with a focus on young people aged 13-19. All stalls are free and insurance will be covered on the day.

Tracy Sullivan, Director of Town Hall Arts said “We are thrilled to support the Trowbridge Young Talent Market again this year. We are very excited that Alice McNeil, who is a young musician and performer herself, and who runs our monthly youth music events for unsigned bands, will be performing. We want lots more young people like Alice to come forward and take part in the Trowbridge Young Talent Market”.

By getting involved young people can also benefit from a new free package of support and guidance, produced by GoFish, designed to support young people in to work and entrepreneurship.
