As winter looms closer thoughts inevitably turn to the practicalities of heating your home and in particular to keeping your home warm without incurring excessive fuel bills. For many people that financial challenge is very real, for others it may be the practical issues of older heating systems or applying modern efficiency schemes to older period homes that is of concern, to everyone it is just about knowing what can be done to improve the comfort of your home and what help might exist. It is a confusing and complicated market but help does exist in local people who have improved the energy efficiency of their own homes and in experts with practical advice of what can be done. Transcoco is hoping to bring these together with the launch of a Sustainable Homes Group at the Pound Arts Centre in Corsham on Friday 8th November starting at 7pm. Guest speakers will provide an overview of the challenges and opportunities of improving the comfort of an existing home affordably, with examples relating both to older properties and to a nearly new home in Katherine Park.
