The 2018 Big Pledge Challenge is back and this year every second counts. In celebration of the home nations success at the Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast, the Big Pledge: Beat the Clock 8 week activity challenge is back from 14 May – 8 July.

You can sign up now as an individual or as part of a team and any sport or physical activity counts towards your timed challenge. You will need to complete minutes to collect sports that were part of the Commonwealth Games. Collect all 20 to reach gold!  The focus this year is on achieving active minutes with a variety of challenges available to make the challenge suitable for you. An active minute is classified as raising your heart rate to a level where it is difficult to have a conversation. Each and every activity counts towards this whether it’s swimming, cycling, running, playing sports, or activities such as walking to the shops or doing the housework.

Beat The Clock Challenge – this is ideal for beginners or those new to activity or who have a disability.

Beat The Clock Plus Challenge – If you’re regularly active and want to push yourself, then this is for you.

Beat The Clock Team Challenge – compete as a team, at your workplace or club, with colleagues, friends and family.

There will be trophies for most active business, most active school and most active team. Individuals who complete their challenge and get gold are automatically put into a draw to win a Fitbit.
