Support available for local communities to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday

In June 2016 the nation will celebrate The Queen’s 90th birthday. So why not get your neighbours and friends together and join in the fun? There will be celebrations across the UK throughout the year including a concert, birthday parade and giant street party on The Mall.

Communities all over the country will be holding street parties on 11th and 12th June for The Queen’s birthday. In the Corsham Community Area, the Area Board has put aside a small amount of funding to support these events. You may be part of a parish council, neighbourhood association, local organisation, village hall committee or other group. If you are organising and event or thinking about doing so, then please get in touch. We can offer advice, publicity and possibly funding to help you make it a success

If you are looking for some financial assistance then please contact us by the 25th April when we will make a decision about how it will be allocated.

Community events are not only great fun but have many benefits including helping to tackle loneliness and isolation, Arrangements for events are already underway in Colerne, Gastard and Corsham. Why not help organise one in your area.
