People from Corsham can have their say in Wiltshire’s new Housing Allocations policy

Wiltshire’s Allocation Policy is currently being reviewed as a response to changes in legislation in the Localism Act 2011 and the changes to Housing Benefit entitlement contained within the Welfare Reform Act 2012.
Consultation is a vitally important part of establishing policy for the allocation of social housing and we would like your views on what should be included within the new allocation policy. Initial consultation on the review has taken place at Wiltshire’s area boards, with members of the community, parish councils and elected members and separate consultation with registered providers and operational staff.
Between 1 February 2013 and 26 April 2013 we are engaging in a full consultation with a wide range of stakeholders from the statutory and voluntary sectors, other council departments, private sector organisations, Homes4wiltshire applicants and tenants, and the general public. We would be pleased to receive any comments, observations, ideas or suggestions on the proposed scheme. If you would like to provide a response please take a few moments to read through the  through the appendices  and then complete the questionnaire  Alternatively, you can write to housing.strategy@wiltshire.gov.uk  Nicole Smith, Wiltshire Council, Housing Strategy Team, Monkton Park, Chippenham, Wiltshire, SN15 1ER.
