Next Corsham Area Board to focus on older people and carers – please join us

The next public meeting of the Corsham Area Board will be taking place at Springfield Community Campus on Thursday 21 May, from 7pm (with light refreshments and networking from 6.30pm).

At this meeting, we will be exploring the issues concerning our local older people, the socially isolated and vulnerable, and carers. We would like to hear from people who are affected by these issues, so do please join us at this meeting.

We aim to find out from older people what they think about the services there are in their communities to support older people to stay at home, to listen to older people about the services they value and the services they would like to see in their areas and we are particularly keen to review how much loneliness and social isolation affects older people and what thoughts people might have about how we can address this.

Following the meeting we intend to produce a report highlighting the services that people value but also identifying any service gaps or good ideas that we can develop. We will then work with older people to commission/develop those services.

We hope you can join us.
