Latest news from the Brunel Shed

As from this week we will be open on Thursday evenings (starting 21 July), from 7.00 to 9.00pm. This will be in addition to the Monday morning sessions (10.00 to 13.00) and is a reflection on having good numbers on Mondays (averaging 11/session). This will also mean that any of you who cannot make it on a Monday morning due to other commitments can attend the shed. Please pass on news of this development to friends and family who might like to come. Of course, you are welcome to come to both sessions if you like. Also, as we open up for more sessions we will need more people to volunteer as “Duty Managers” who keep an eye on the session. If you are interested please let us know.
At the Shed we had a valuable session on First Aid provided by The Learning Curve and if enough people want, we can get another session on First Aid and also, Health and Safety – please let us know if you are interested.
We also had a visit to Wiltshire College to see the 3D printing centre and keep up with modern technology! We can repeat this visit if you are interested.
Our next visit is on the 3rd August to a garden railway in Warminster. Its £3/person to include a BBQ.
If you want to discuss becoming a member, what happens at the Shed, or ideas for things to do, both at the Shed and for visits please speak to one of the Committee:
Ed Brand, Rodney Veazey, Dave Finney, Dave Moor, Dave Wilson, Barry Reed
