Find out about and have your say on the heritage and future of Corsham Area’s built environment

Corsham Area Board Meeting, Wed Nov 23rd, 7.30pm

(Refreshments from 7pm)

Springfield Campus, Corsham

Come and join us as we explore the built environment of the Corsham Community Area. There will be three main subjects to hear about and discuss.

Mansion House – You are invited to give your views on proposals on a £2.5m redevelopment that will transform Corsham’s Mansion House into a new centre for a start-up and small businesses focussed on digital innovation. It is out for consultation before a planning application is submitted later this month.

Corsham High Street Project – There will also be information on an exciting project to explore the history and heritage of the buildings in Corsham High Street answering questions such as – What were the shops in the past? Why is Corsham a town? Why are there so few medieval buildings?

Corsham Area Framework – In 2015, Wiltshire Council instructed Arup and Cushman and Wakefield to create an area framework for Corsham. Much has been done through the wider working groups for the Neighbourhood Plan; Public Realm Strategy; and the railway station. The Framework seeks to support these efforts and to continue the natural correlation of place and activity in the Corsham Community Area. The framework sets out the long term vision to shape the nature of future growth and development within the Corsham Area.

I hope that you will be able to join us as we look to shape the future of our area. With news from our partners as well it promises to be a really informative meeting.
