As works are progressing to complete the refurbishment of Springfield Community Campus, some mild disruption to customers and services may be experienced from next week.
From Thursday 26 February, our contractor will be getting to work on laying the flooring for what will soon become the main reception area to the front of the campus building. This means that the area, between the library and the climbing wall, will be cordoned off possibly restricting access and movement, and workmen will be busy removing the temporary partition and laying the new flooring.
Disruption will always be kept as minimal as possible and we would like to reassure customers that the library, cafe and all other facilities will remain open as normal during these works. However, the library’s self-service terminals will have to be relocated for a short period but please just speak to any member of the campus team who will be happy to show you to them.
Works to refurbish the squash courts and movement studio are nearing completion and it is envisaged that these facilities will open to the public early next week (being the week commencing 23 February). Please check back for further updates, or get in touch with a member of the team via the contact methods below, and we will be happy to advise.
