Funding Future Olympians and Paralympians Sports scholarship

Do you know a  young sports star in the making? Are they aged 8-18 years old and competing at a Regional or National level?

The Funding Future Olympians and Paralympians Sports Scholarship is now open for applications!

Now in its second year, Wiltshire Council, working with local businesses, will provide successful applicants with £500 each towards achieving future success.

Funding can be used to help access training, competitive opportunities, purchase equipment and cover transport costs for attending county, regional and national events. The grant is open to young people who are resident in Wiltshire who are aged between 8 and 18 years old and who are competing at either a Regional or National level in either an Olympic or Paralympic sport or any sport recognised by Sport England.

2014 Sports Scholarship recipient Jamie Phillips who races in BMX said, “It was an honour to be recognised for my sporting performances. Receiving the Sports Scholarship has been a great motivation. The financial support has helped me to continue to develop as a rider, to make physical, technical and tactical improvements and enabled me to secure qualification for both the European Championships in Holland and the World Championships in Belgium in 2015.”
