Free climbing wall sessions this half-term proved to be a big hit with Corsham youngsters

This February half-term, Springfield Community Campus wanted to provide local young people with a range of fun, energetic activities to keep them occupied and to teach new skills.

As well as our usual Camp Activate programme, the campus also offered young people over the age of 8 years old the opportunity to experience the climbing wall.

Taster sessions were held on Monday and Tuesday this week on a drop-in basis, and we were delighted to have attracted over 150 young people and their families over the course of the 2 days. The activity was so popular that the cafe was selling out of lunch products!

Having a go on the climbing wall is not only physically demanding; building strength, stamina and coordination, but it also develops team building skills and boosts self-esteem.

The climbing wall is open to anyone over the age of 8 years old, of any ability. If you are interested to know more about our courses, or other upcoming holiday sessions, then please do get in touch.
