Wiltshire and Swindon Combined Fire Authority has agreed to increase its band D fire precept by 1.99% for the coming year.
At a meeting today (13 February), members adopted a net revenue budget of £24,804,200 for 2014/15 – which includes a £297,900 contribution from general reserves. This represents a 1.4% reduction in budget from 2013/14.
This 1.99% increase in band D fire precept means that the payment for an average band D household in Wiltshire and Swindon for the Fire & Rescue Service will rise to £63.62 – an increase of £1.24 for the year. This equates to a weekly cost of £1.22 for the Fire & Rescue Service for band D homes.
