Corsham Information Points

Corsham residents can keep up to date with how their new campus is progressing as a number of information points have been set up around the area.
Work on Springfield, Corsham’s Community Campus began in June. The development will combine the existing and improved leisure centre with a range of community facilities, including a new library, performance, exhibition and recreational space, meeting rooms and café bar. The campus will also mean Wiltshire Council services can be delivered from within the community and will also include the local neighbourhood policing team
Residents can now check how the campus is progressing thanks to new information points that have been placed around the development site. The information points will display maps and information on the design as well as news on any up and coming work. A model of the new campus is also on display at the heritage centre in Corsham and shows a representation of how the new campus will look once it is ready for business in early 2014.
The Corsham Shadow Community Operations Board (COB) and representatives from Wiltshire Council are behind the information points which are based in Corsham Town Hall, Springfield Leisure Centre, the Heritage Centre and library. Information is also available in areas outside Corsham including Colerne Village Hall and Box Library.
Allan Bosley chair of the Community Operations Board said: “Local views were key to shaping the campus and it is important that people can continue to watch their ideas evolve and feel a part of this exciting project. The information points provide a progress report on how we are doing and where we plan to go in the future and we hope that people will use them on a regular basis.”
Information can also be found on the campus website www.springfieldccc.com where views and comments can be left.
