Corsham Country Market

Corsham Country Market

Corsham Country Market has been trading and serving the people of Corsham for well over 45 years. It was initially the WI Market but in 2004 the WI terminated their involvement and so The Country Market was born and continues, see www.country-markets.co.uk for further information.

Here in Corsham we have a great bunch of people who meet every week (every Friday, see below for details) producing homemade cakes and pastries, jams and pickles, honey, knitted garments plants and vegetables (when in season) and an array of craft items.

The homemade cakes and pastries are the largest selling line however we are desperately short of bakers to service the production of these items; in fact, the possibility of the market closing is more likely than not unless new bakers can be found.

It should be stressed that anybody considering joining us would not be expected to produce great quantities, that’s not what we are about. Just a couple of items to support the other bakers is all that is required; and not necessarily on a regular basis especially if family plans dictate non-availability. Why not give it a go? Come and earn some pin money and meet our friendly group and talk to either Jane and Sue the market managers.

We are at St Aldhelms Church hall each Friday (9pm to 11-30pm) except for the last Friday in the month where we are in the Martingate Shopping area (9pm to 12-30pm) or you can ring Sue on 01225 811099

We look forward to seeing you.
