Corsham Area Board Meeting, 11th September 3pm,
Brunel Room, Springfield Community Campus
We have moved the Area Board meeting to 3pm on Monday in order to give all those in the community who are concerned with adults social care to come and hear about initial proposals and help shape their local services
The first hour will be an interactive workshop led by some of the adult social care team exploring how the service can be transformed to a community led approach. There will be plenty of opportunity to hear about some of the proposals and to have your say.
There are opportunities for local communities to be more involved in supporting people locally. For example by addressing social isolation and loneliness so people feel a part of their community and able to contribute. We also think the way we provide adult social care can be improved and we want to share with you what we are proposing to do and why. More importantly we want to hear your thoughts and views to ensure that the changes are the right ones.
Almost all of us at some time will need the support of these services either for ourselves or for someone close to us . We are particularly interested in hearing from:
• People who use adult care services
• People/organisations/services involved in supporting local people with their general wellbeing or social care needs
You are welcome to stay for the rest of the Area Board meeting which will include a consultation on changes to waste and recycling as well as local news and funding decisions.
Do please share this invitation widely and we look forward to seeing you on the 11th September.
