Campus is coming to life

Campus is coming to life

Lighter summer evenings have increased the availability of the new all-weather pitch at Corsham’s Springfield Campus. The pitch – the first new facility at the campus – opened before Christmas for use by The Corsham School on weekdays, but has been available for community hire at weekends. That now includes weekday evenings following the clocks going forward.

The pitch can be hired as a whole pitch or in parts (suitable for five-a-side football). Contact Springfield Leisure Centre (01249 712846) for further details.

Work on the new campus building is also nearing completion with the facility still on course to open in June. The current Corsham Library will close two weeks before re-opening in the campus – dates for both will be widely publicised as soon as they are confirmed.

Refurbishment of parts of the current leisure centre will also begin once the new campus building is completed. This will result in a planned 15-week closure of the swimming pool and health suite in June for a new roof and other work. Again, the date of the closure will be publicised. During this period, the fitness suite will also be temporarily relocated to the new campus building.
