Busy first week for springfield community campus

Springfield community campus may only be partially open, but things have been coming to life within the campus this week since the area board meeting and preview event held last Thursday evening.

To kick start the week, springfield community campus welcomed its very first community group through the doors on Monday, which was Rugby Tots. The children were delighted to be using the new facilities and enjoyed an active session led by their teacher, Paul.

Also enjoying use of the new campus facilities this week was Jerry who runs the Bath Kung Fu Academy, and the WI group who held their tea party here on Wednesday. We look forward to welcoming more customers, community groups and users to the campus over the following weeks and months. If you haven’t popped in to see us yet, please call in soon and we would be delighted to show you around and discuss ways in which the campus might open up possibilities for you and your group.

The temporary fitness suite is now in full use by customers who are currently enjoying a range of fitness equipment in its temporary location. Proposals for the design and layout of the refurbished fitness suite are currently on display in the exhibition area of the campus – please take a look and have your say before the consultation closing date of Thursday 7 August.

The new and improved library will open in its new home at the campus next Thursday 7 August from 10am, along with the cafe. The library area is a particularly impressive feature of springfield community campus and we very much hope you are able to come along and join us, if not on 7 August, then very soon.

As always, please do not hesitate to get in touch with any questions, queries, comments or suggestions.
