Home-Start Kennet Scheme Manager

Home-Start Kennet is an established local charity committed to promoting the welfare of families with at least one child under the age of 5. We train volunteers to provide regular support, friendship and practical help to families under stress, helping to prevent family crisis and breakdown.

This is an exciting opportunity to build on the successes of our scheme. We are looking for a dynamic innovator to undertake the effective day-to-day management of the scheme. They will need to provide effective leadership to staff and work with the Trustee board in ensuring the effective strategic management, development and future funding of the scheme.

Experience of working with vulnerable families, managing volunteers, delivering high quality training, partnership working, the voluntary sector and parenting is required, as are excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience of leading a project to successful outcomes is essential. Use of a car is required for which mileage expenses will be paid
